#stress December, in the Northern hemisphere is the darkest month of the year. So most all of our celebrations this month involve light. Candles to be specific There is the miracle of a menorah that burned for 8 days when there was only enough oil for one. Then the tradition of an advent wreath and lighting candles as a way of preparing our hearts for the miracle of Christmas and the candles of the kinara and the seven guiding principles celebrated during Kwanzaa. A candle, the light – in most cultures it’s a reminder of truth and hope. “Hope arises with the dawn, to light a candle in the heart. And burning through the blackest night – it burns until the dark departs. Walterrean Salley”
