#stress As we wind down this month and look forward to “moving ahead”, where do you want to be? Are there one or two simple changes that might lessen the stress level in your life? Waking 5 mins earlier to meditate, pray, breathe? Limiting your cell phone time – “parking” it for 30 min to 1 hr blocks especially during none work hours? What if doing those things could prevent a heart attack or lessen the chance of stroke? Would you do it then? “A new study by researchers from Linköping University in Sweden reveals that the levels of the stress hormone cortisol were increased in the months preceding a heart attack. The results, published in Scientific Reports, suggest that long-term stress is a risk factor for heart attacks.”
