#sleep Raise your hand if you have heard of melatonin? Have you used it to help maintain sleep/wake cycles? Often frequent travelers keep it in their “go” bag. Why? Melatonin helps promote sleep once the lights go down (or you create darkness with an eye mask). The area of the brain responsible for this is the pineal gland. “Scientists believe that peaks and valleys of melatonin over time are important for matching the body’s circadian rhythm to the external cycle of light and darkness.” Do you have any experience with Melatonin? Good or bad? For some, taking melatonin enhances dreaming. For others, it can produce nightmares. https://ift.tt/j71hPJ6
