#stress This was the headline in 2018 – PRIOR TO THE PANDEMIC – “Study Finds High Rates of Stress Events, Suicidality Among College Students”. This should be concerning to all parents and educators. “…Our study highlights an urgent need to help students reduce their experience of overwhelming levels of stress during college.” Does anyone believe we are in a better position with our college freshman classes now? We can and must do better for our kids and young adults. If you are sending a child to college this fall, did you check into their wellness plans or how they focus on providing programs to identify and help students who become “more” at risk? Most colleges have it on their radar but a conversation and creating a cheat sheet of “important numbers” for your student is always a good idea.
