#nutrition Are you trying to eat more plant based? Do you try “meatless Mondays” or to go meatless everyday till dinner? Many people are limiting their meat consumption but are looking for more satisfying alternatives to a burger, pork chops or even chicken/turkey. This study looked at how to make “meat alternatives” more “meaty” buy adding in fermented onions. The fermented onions create an aroma more closely aligned with that of beef. My question for you is – do you want your meatless options to look/taste/feel more like the meat you are choosing not to have or, do you want meatless options that are deliciously appealing in their own right? I struggle with this.
