#sleep This shouldn’t be news for those of you who follow Reliable RN. Your obesity is absolutely made worse with poor sleep. Sleep loss upsets hormone balance and promotes overeating and weight gain. Studies also show it makes you more likely to select poor quality, high calorie foods (comfort food). And, not surprisingly, overtired people exercise less. If you’re invested in “getting back in shape” or “lowering your BMI”, then make sleep a part of the plan. It’s not wasted time – it’s critical time that directly effects your overall health!
