#stress Its the weekend!! In my pre-child days TGIF meant something. Weekends were for kicking back, no stress, no worries. What does it mean for you now? Are your weekends time to de-stress and enjoy or are you still running from activity to activity and find yourself “wanting” to go back to work on Monday? Are you more rested at the end of the weekend or just as exhausted as you were Friday night? Here are some good ideas to de-stress your weekend time;
1. Create time for just you and a friend to spend some time together
2. Feed your soul – studies show, regardless of your religion, the more people attend religious services, the more content they are.
3. Sweat at least once per weekend – exercise, garden, dance, bike – you choose
4. Set time limits for chores. Yes, things need to get done but a time limits keeps you focused and preserves time for fun.
5. Unplug. One study showed that unhappy people watch 30% more TV than happy people. Be happy people.
6. Don’t let Sun night become full of anticipatory stress for Monday and the week ahead. Instead, use Sunday evening for one of the suggestions listed above. That way you fall asleep remembering the fun you just had.
